Al Silkroski

President

Al is President of Hilltop Environmental Solutions, bringing over 40 years of experience in the environmental services and remediation industry. He has worked on major environmental cleanups, including the Alaska Valdez oil spill and refinery projects in Mexico, and has managed projects across a wide range of sites, from abandoned mines and military installations to power plants and brownfield redevelopments. At Hilltop, Al provides hands-on leadership, guiding projects, developing innovative solutions, and ensuring clients get practical, effective results for complex soil and waste challenges.

Throughout his career, Al has licensed and implemented cutting-edge technologies for oil spill remediation and served as a consultant in the waste-to-fuel and waste-to-energy sectors. He has led multiple environmental technology startups, including initiatives like tire-to-fuels and carbon reduction projects.

Al serves on the board of Lifetime Wells International, supporting access to clean water and education in underserved communities, and is an advocate for continuing education, with a focus on helping non-traditional students pursue their goals.

Al and his wife, Marcia, own an alpaca farm, where they enjoy caring for the animals and spending time outdoors. He also enjoys golfing, fishing, and exploring new places.  Most of all,  he values time spent with his family and friends.
